Kevin Miller has served as our senior pastor since 2011. He is married to Melanie and they have two children. Kevin grew up in Ames, IA and attended Iowa State University graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Child and Family Services. From there, he went to Dallas Theological Seminary where he graduated with a Masters of Theology in Pastoral Leadership and Biblical Exposition. He is ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America and a member of the Evangelical Theological Society. Kevin firmly believes in living a balanced life with God as his highest priority and then family coming before all other priorities. Among many things, he enjoys being with his family, spending time outdoors, grilling out, photography, and reading.
My passion is to expose everyone I can to the Triune God of the Bible whom I deeply love, solely serve, and daily depend upon. To this end, I am driven by a robust belief in Biblical inspiration and inerrancy which is reflected in the verse-by-verse manner in which I teach and preach, believing that what the congregation needs most is the message of the Scriptures as written. Additionally, I am deeply committed to servant-leadership within the church and desire to ‘equip the saints for the work of the ministry’ which is reflected by a robust belief that the Scriptures teach us all that is needed both for how to ‘do church’ as well as for faithfulness in life. All of these factors drive my convictions in a specific direction, which can be summed up as:
- Showing how God’s glory is of foremost importance in how He saves sinners.
- Gospel-centered ministry as distilled in the Great Commission.
- Communion and Baptism practiced as outward physical testimonies reflecting an inner spiritual trust in Jesus Christ.
